Sowing Seeds of Hope hosted a two-week Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training program from June 5 through June 16 in partnership with Career Health Services Academy. A total of 21 participants completed the course and prepared to take the state certification exam on June 24.
The program provided intensive instruction, training materials, and certification testing for participants interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. Workforce development funds through grants from the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers and Alabama Department of Human Resources allowed the organization to cover the full cost of the program for each participant.
Workforce development initiatives remain an important part of Sowing Seeds of Hope’s efforts to connect community members with employment opportunities that support long-term economic stability and address local workforce needs.
