Sowing Seeds of Hope hosted a two-part Easter Bible Study series on March 25 and April 1, 2026, at its facility in Marion, Alabama, drawing strong attendance from community members seeking deeper engagement with the events of Holy Week.
Both sessions were held at Sowing Seeds of Hope and were led by Rev. Anthony Trimble. The series explored key moments leading up to and following the resurrection of Jesus, offering participants a structured and reflective study experience.
The March 25 session focused on Holy Week through a feminine perspective, while the April 1 session offered complementary reflections on pivotal moments in the final days of Jesus’ earthly ministry and the resurrection.
Speakers and reflections included:
- Minister Lou Ann Sellers — The Alabaster Box
- Minister Joanna Evans — Jesus on the Cross
- Minister Melanie Hoytte — The Women at the Tomb
- Mr. James Hogue — On the Mount of Olives
- Rev. Larry Jackson — At the Last Supper and in the Upper Room
- Mr. Tommy King — At the Garden of Gethsemane
- Rev. Leo King — After the Resurrection
Through teaching, reflection, and community dialogue, the series provided a meaningful opportunity for spiritual growth and shared learning among attendees.
Sowing Seeds of Hope continues to create spaces that support faith development and strengthen spiritual connection within the Perry County community.
