Volunteer groups from across the region continued to support Sowing Seeds of Hope’s mission in Perry County this summer.
Students from the University of Alabama Honors College traveled to the area to assist with several community service projects during the month of June.
Members of Siloam Baptist Church also contributed their time and skills to build a new porch for a family who had urgent mobility issues. Later in the summer, a team from Crosscreek Baptist Church constructed an accessibility ramp for the Gibson family in Uniontown, allowing elderly members of the household to more easily enter and exit their home.
Volunteer groups play an important role in helping Sowing Seeds of Hope meet the many requests it receives for various forms of assistance throughout the year.
