Sowing Seeds of Hope Hosts Spring Mobile Pantry Food Distribution with Selma Area Food Bank

On March 13, 2025, Sowing Seeds of Hope hosted a mobile pantry food distribution in partnership with the Selma Area Food Bank.

Through this event, volunteers and staff provided food for 108 households in Perry County. As a designated mobile pantry site, Sowing Seeds of Hope works with volunteers and board members to organize and distribute groceries to residents who may face barriers to accessing food resources.

The Selma Area Food Bank is a regional organization that works with community partners to distribute food to individuals and families across the Black Belt region of Alabama. Through partnerships with local agencies and volunteer organizations, the food bank helps expand access to groceries and other essential resources.

The March distribution was one of several scheduled food distribution events throughout the year, reflecting Sowing Seeds of Hope’s continued commitment to addressing food insecurity in Perry County.
