Frances Ford, Executive Director of Sowing Seeds of Hope, was honored with the Samford University Medallion Award on November 1. Ford was among three award recipients “whose good works have made a difference in society, community affairs, the life of the church and the quality of life for others, according to the university’s press release.
Samford University, which traces its roots back to the founding of Howard College in Marion, is a long-time partner of Sowing Seeds of Hope. Most notably, Samford’s McWhorter School of Pharmacy and Sowing Seeds of Hope worked together to establish the first accredited rural residency in pharmacy in the United States.
