Sowing Seeds of Hope provides families with resources to help them be stronger, happier, and closer. Our work has always included efforts to invest in children and support educational systems.
Throughout its history, Sowing Seeds of Hope has endeavored to improve childhood literacy in Perry County. We have helped place thousands of books in the hands of local children.
Sowing Seeds of Hope has also helped families improve their children’s health. Our AllKids insurance registration drives and school health screenings helped parents secure care for their children.
A number of local parents have benefited from our parenting seminars, Loving Solutions and Parent Project. These classes generally meet on Thursdays at 11:00 in the Ed Daniel Job Training Center. If you are interested in being part of these parenting support groups, please contact us at 334-683-4666. We will be able to help you choose the program that would be most helpful for your family, and we can adjust days and times to fit your schedule if necessary.
Because strong families need financial stability, Sowing Seeds of Hope also offers a number of work readiness programs. Our weekly free computer classes currently take place at 1:00 each Wednesday afternoon.
Sowing Seeds of Hope is proud to be a member of the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers. We are grateful that the Alabama Children’s Trust Fund supports our work with children and families.
