Sowing Seeds of Hope hosted a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) training cohort in partnership with Career Health Services Academy to kick off the year’s workforce development events. CNA training provides participants with the knowledge and practical skills needed to work in healthcare settings such as hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities. The cohort included 23 students, who all gained state certification.
This workforce development program is supported by the Alabama Network of Family Resource Centers and the Alabama Department of Human Resources. Through these partnerships, Sowing Seeds of Hope is able to expand access to career training opportunities for residents of Perry County.
By hosting CNA training locally, Sowing Seeds of Hope helps eliminate the barrier of travel for participants. Sowing Seeds of Hope is grateful for its ongoing partnerships, which enable us to create pathways to stable employment in the healthcare field.
